well i'd have a hard time spending $400 on an exhaust system, much less just a muffler alone. I own a '73 ford f100 with a big block 360 and am particular on the exhaust i have on it currently being 40 series flowmasters but for my honda i just need something that doesn't have a gapping whole in the resonator and muffler and is stainless b/c i'm a college student and do some short burst driving and i want something that won't rust out if i can't always run the vehicle to burn out the condensation. my brother-n-law bought a exhaust setup off ebay for his '90 lx and it doesn't sound too bad but i'm not expert or do i care to be on honda exhaust sounds. i will have to admit though my '90 ex sound pretty frickin awesome out the bottom of the resonator when your going by something or under a bridge! anyways please add any more thoughts or suggestions now that you know my reasoning...

Im with you on the stainless part... cant complain about an exhaust that will never rust. And what I dont understand is how all the "big name" companies DO NOT use stainless piping.

Look into the Borla/Brospeed cat-back, I am not sure if they make it for your car, but if they do, that'd be the one i'd suggest. It uses all stainless piping and a true muffler, so your car wont be loud!
