Default how to install the aftermarket spoiler properly?

i lookin for the spoiler on ebay for my 2000 accord......they cost 180-200 ...
few years ago..i stalled the spoiler to my 96 prelude,however,after 1 year...the water can get in to its truck......anyone give me a suggest and which seller is the best....thx

seller that's the best? Just look at the feedback ratings.

When you install the spoiler do a few things 1st ...

1. look for the mounting spots on the underside of the trunk lid. You can't miss them, they're 4 bumps, 2 on each side.
2. when drilling, use a small bit to make a pilot hole. Use wider bits to get to the desired thread size.
3. when finished drilling, remove and metal shavings. Then use touchup paint on the drilled and exposed metal. Use several coats to prevent rusting. Then seal with touchup clear coat.
4. find stick on foam rings at your local hardware store. use these to keep additional moisture from leaking into the trunk.

i dabbed a little bit of this really sticky shit(it was black colored, dont know what its called) on the surface of the spoiler that was going over the hole to keep water from leaking. worked for me.

i know what you talk about,,,,,,this is a black piece and put between the truck and spoiler right.....one more question.....how long had you install it?

silicone works to plug stuff, make seals, and prevent leaks too.

well it was on my civic when i had it, the spoiler was on for a good 6 months untill it was stolen. no leaks though!
