Default Red/Clear Taillight DIY for 6th Gen Sedan??

I've seen and done the black/clear housing DIY for the headlights on my 4 door, but i havn't seen any DIY for making the taillights red/clear. is this possible, would it be about the same method as the headlights?

No, but the 98-00 already has red/clear taillights. you could try and find the accord euro R tails though. i'm assuming that you have an 01-02 cause those have red/amber tails. you would have to "erase" the amber out. i have heard that some people soak the amber part in some sort of cleaner to get it out but i personally have never tried it so just look for a set alreaddy red/clear.

these are a good example @ procarparts, 90 bucks plus shipping.

I'm sorry but that all completely incorrect. 98-00 does not have red/clear, its red with orange/pink/gray on the top. 01-02 have clear on the bottom, with an amber box for the signal.

You can't "soak" or "erase" the color from the 98-00 tails. You must buy aftermarket ones, but they aren't bad, around $100 and they look 10x better than stock imo.

Those ones pictured above are the ones you want for 98-00 tails...they won't fit the 01-02s.

With the 01-02's you can open the tail light and remove the amber box, that will give an all clear look.

it's easy to clear your tails if you have an 01-02. i did it a couple of days ago. just set your oven to about 300 degrees, and remove the tail light housing by pulling back the trunk lining and unscrewing the three bolts that are holding the housing in. then just turn the sockets a quarter turn, pop them out, and pull the housing out. stick a screwdriver in the two little clips holding the orange plastic in place for the turn signal, then just put it in the oven for around...5-10 minutes. pry open the housing, (be careful not to get any glue in the housing) just wide enough to pull out hte orange plastic, squeeze it back closed, put it in the oven another 5 minutes, and then squeeze it again as hard as you can so that condensation doesn't get in. and there ya have it, red/clear taillights.

by the way, could you direct me to the DIY blackhousing for the headlights? thanks.

here's a great site with many useful DIY's, has the front bumper cover DIY that is necessary to remove the headlights, and then the headlight DIY seperate. worked like a charm for me, nothing tough about it (but it did take around 4 or 5 hours due to paint drying and just trying to be careful) i'd set around 6 to 7 hours aside just to be sure.

My friend has that very same after market Euro Tail lights. After a year, the clear signal part becomes foggy and yellowish (water got inside?). He threw that set away and used the stock ones again.
