Default Issue with cross drilled rotors and pads

Ok, I recently put on some Magnum cross drilled rotors all the way around and AEM pads, kept the stock calipers. I checked the rotors, straight, but I turned them anyway. Everything works great but I am getting some uneven wear marks on the discs and some noise when I am not using the brakes. I though, wheel bearings? Tire noise? Took it to the Honda dealer and a tech rode with me, he said it was probably the pads sticking and rubbing on the rotors, not wheel bearings (no charge too). Some grease in the pad area will free up the pads and they will release. Scoring on the discs are just a consequence of using that setup, you get uneven wear from the cross drilled rotors....but I must say, they look good and I get NO dust from the AEM pads...I don't like the sound so any experience and suggestions?

Pads are usually put on with a type of adhesive that holds the pad to the caliper, so that it doesnt rub against the rotor. A lot of pads come with the adhesive on the back already which activates once the pad heats up, I don't know if the AEM do or not. you DIY?
I don't know about crossed drill rotors. I recently changed my rotors and pads also, but I went with slotted rotors since everywhere I read said that cross drilled are very prone to warping. I put on power slot slotted rotors matched with hawk pads. No noise, and almost no brake dust either. I was so tired of how dirty my wheels would get. It's been more than two weeks with the new setup, and the wheels still look clean.

Yeah if the cross drilled rotors aren't of very high quality and engineered well I've heard that stuff like this will happen.

First thing you should do is get some of that Molykote or whatever grease that Honda gives you with pads to smear on the backs of the pads where the retainers go on. Hopefully that'll help somewhat. If it doesn't, maybe it's the rotor? I think I remember hearing that AEM pads can be noisy so try a search on that.

I also got some cross drilled rotors for my accord but they did come with pads "not AEM", no problem here and usually they sell it as a package rotors + pads. if the problem continues and is the pads then u should get the best pads autozone has to offer for $45 and they will replace them for free if they make noise.

Yeah, a lot of aftermarket brake parts are noisy, so you might just be hearing a regualr sound from them. Definately look into that grease or adhesive though to make sure the pad doesnt float around.
Did you flush your brake fluid and change to DOT4?

Yes, I flushed the brakes lines because I also installed Goodrich SS lines. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll follow up and let you know. Thanks again!

Do you feel any difference when braking comparing the ss lines to the stock rubber ones?

I think that's kind of a tuff question since he changed the entire brake system. So it would be hard to say how much of a change the SS lines made.

i have magnum drilled rotors and aem pads and mine squek as well. the first time i didnt break in the pads properly and i couldnt stop because they were glazed.
-i didnt turn my rotors, they probably sat for about 6 months
-break-in procedure is key
-squeaking sucks but the aem pads grip pretty well since my brake booster is gone, lol

the ss lines are made to reduce brake lines from expanding.
