Default Need to adjust the speedometer

I'm not sure if this topic would go in here...if not, sorry Coupe if it doesnt..
How hard is it to reprogram the speedometer and if needed(dont think it would) the tach if i increase the wheel size?
Would a 1 to 2 inch addition really make THAT much of a difference?
What tools would I need/where could I get the tools/have it done?
this would be done to a 2002 Accord EX Coupe 4cyl...42k miles... thanks in advance yall

I don't know of any way to do it and it's probably impossible since it's electronic and not cable driven like old speedos.

Just because you're increasing wheel size does not mean your speedo will be off much. You have to maintain the same aspect ratio by putting on tires with narrower sidewalls. Miata.net has a tire size calculator to help figure it out, as do a lot of other sites. Just google that phrase.

well thanks, I guess...but there's a few guys who post on this board that know quite a bit more than I do. My knowledge is limited to things I've tried, things I've thought of, things that have failed on my car, and stuff I've read.

I recently installed new gauges on my integra and had to remove the speedo needle. I had no idea how to get it back to the right speed so I had my friend drive in front of me at 70, then I set my cruise and adjusted it that way. If you can get to your speedo needle remove it then do the same to get the right speed. Hope it helps.
