Default Strut Bars, Sway Bars ??????

Iam was searching some forums about strut bars and sway bars. I alomst bought a GREDDY front strut bar for like $180 until I saw one thread about the acura OEM sway bars . My questions are

1> Are the OEM sway bars the same as the Aftermarket ones like "Neosports".
2> Whats better the upper strut bars or lower and whats the difference.
3> What will fit my car and which one is better.

Thanks to all the HAN members for the help.

Well it looks like you have a 7th gen...just get the OEM V6 6speed upper front strut bar, it'll function and be affordable.

For the sway bars, you can go with an aftermarket set, or you can do the rear TL 6speed bar in the rear only for some better handling on a budget.

OEM V6 Strut bar, is it upper or lower and can I install it myself? and the same question for the TL Rear sway bar.
Roughly how much will this cost me and will it make a big difference on handling.
Thanks

its an upper strut tower bar, and you should be able to install it your self. as for the rear sway, if you have all the tools you should easily be able to do the install with the rear sway. I'm not sure how much parts are, but it should make a noticable difference in handling.

I just checked local dealers for the parts, The front is $90 and rear is $135. Is there any place I can find it cheaper than that.
I think I can install the front cause I have done it on my cavalier but a little worried about the rear, can anyone provide me with a few instructions and tools or a DIY.
Thanks

I said it was a upper front in my first post...

I would think you can get them much cheaper online. I bought mine from a local dealer, and my TL strut bar and rear sway were about $50-60 each.

You'll need the TL brackets and bushings for the sway bar, and you can DIY with hand tools.

As far as tips...you'll need an allen wrench set for the endlinks. Hold the bolt still while you remove the nut.

There's not much point...because you will be getting different parts than me...we have different cars...at least for the strut bar, you'll need to get the Accord one, 6th gen can use the previous gen TL-S one.

For the sways...I think the previous gen TL-S bars will actually work, but I know for a fact that they new TL 6speed rear sway will fit, and it's another mm in thickness, so just go with that one. You'll use the same brackets and bushings that go with the sway bar, so if you get a TL 6speed sway bar, you get the corresponding brackets and bushings.

Who said you need new sway bar endlinks? You use your existing ones.

Now if your car was older and the endlinks had a lot of rust, etc...then you might need to get new ones, but yours should be fine.
