Default My New Baby! (pics) 2002 Accord LX Satin Silver

Here she is, my new (to me) 2002 Accord LX 2.4L ULEV-VTEC, Satin Silver with Coral cloth interior. 39,000 miles. I soon as I drove her home I ordered new shoes - Borbet Type LS 17's mounted with 225/45WR-17 General Exclaim UHP tires (so far I'm very impressed with this new tire from Continental's daughter company General). I have big plans for my new girl! I'll def take some ideas from the excellent mods I've seen on this board. Thanks for looking!

Lots...I mean Lots of cool stuff for your car. More so than for the coupe. I like the seller hk-plus on ebay. They have some trick things for the four door. Let me know how your shoes work too, I was thinkin about Conti Contacts myself. Your car will look nicer lower but I recommend that you take your time and do your homework on the all of the options available for lowering your ride. My rule of thumb is bang for the buck. good luck and welcome!

go with a full coilover when u lower it. you'll come out cheaper, and get better perfomance than from a spring/shock combo. go with Tein basics or Super Streets if you dont want to spend much money, but want a good coilover. good luck with the ride, peacE

I should have mentioned that! It's a stick. I wouldn't drive anything else. Feel lucky to have found a nice manual 4-cyl. Seems pretty quick.

That's true, but I'd tell anyone to do the suspension first, thus avoiding the lifted look when you get larger wheels.

I'd get some EX side skirts STAT. It'll really make a nice difference.

Good thinking. Though the overall diameter of my new wheels/tires is almost exactly the same as the stock setup. But I would eventually like to lower it.

Right, as it should be. But I said "lifted look" because when you put larger wheels and tires and the correct size tires on a car, you end up more wheelgap than tire sidewall thickness, it's an optical illusion that makes it look like you have more wheel gap.

I don't blame you for wanting to ditch the LX hubcaps, mine is an LX as well, but a drop will make it look really nice...not to mention better handling.
