well i ended up puttin a CAI at the end. :P

like wedley said, the resonator's only there to quiet the sound of air flowing in the stock intake unit, and while doing so it doesnt really maximize the air flow. taking off the resonator would probably give you 1hp like 98coupe said. dont expect any significant gain. but it will sound louder.
