RIMS?!?! 05 accord
well...i was thinking....i have a 05 accord coupe lx (graphite pearl) and i was looking at rims to buy, cause i dont like looking at hub-caps everyday. i was thinking about getting 18's but then i was told by a friend that 17's would be best cause i was considering a drop in the future. but i was wondering what you guys would think would be best (me wanting to avoid any suspension mods at the moment). oh yea, and the rims i was looking into were the Rays G-Games Sidewinders.:crazyr:

I don't know he would say to go smaller because you are considering a drop in the future. The problem is that with large wheels and stock suspension it'll look lifted. Don't get 18s unless you are going to drop it. 17s are iffy I guess, I mean the 7th gen actually has 17s on the 6speed and some optional 17's so it doesn't look horrible, but it always looks better with a drop.
If you don't want to mess with the suspension right now, don't go any bigger than 17s. Then if you do end up lowering it later, the 17s will still work, it'll just look a lot better.

I put 17" on my 6th gen Accord. There are two ways you can go here, then flavor to taste. Either you want light weight for performance or that bling bling baby look of chrome.
I suggest you buy what you can afford to, understanding that one day you will rub up against a curb and forever scar your lovely rims. If you are patient you will go for forged three piece polished in a 17x7.5 or 18x7.5 (my favorites).
If ride is an issue, the bigger the rim the smaller the sidewall of the tire, the better the grip, the harder the ride. Also, I find that the more you upsize the more touchy the handling gets.
My choice is a 17x7.5 forged three piece polished...but I don't have that! I have 17x7 lightweight MSRs (19lb each). A compromise. So, when I hit that curb I didn't really worry too much because they were relatively cheap!
good luck!

ok i was definately wrong by saying going with 17s is just plain stupid. i was just thinking, if you can afford 18s why would you not want 18s. i mean 18s look way better, but then again im just thinking about looks. and who knows, maybe your lookin for something else besides looks. but if you can afford 18s, and all you care about is looks, then why not go for it. but if your lookin for something else for whatever reason, then more power to you.
