Not everyone has the tools to do it either...breaker bar for the manifold bolts if they're old, torque wrench for the pan bolts, etc

all i am reading is excuses to spend money...a basic tool set from craftsman has all you need if you can afford a pipe from lowes to finish of the set and a torque wrench can be rented from da zone for a few bones...excuses are excuses...I prefer to do stuff myself...IMO do it yourself...if not...pay honda to work on your car...they are more than qualified...or so you can hope...my encounters with the techs around here are less than enjoyable or memorable in a positive way. I know more about my cars than they do...this is from personal experience...180$ is well spent if you have the money to blow or lack to time to do it...

180$ is a lot of money for soemthing that me(not extremely knowledgeable DIY mechanic)can do myself in my parking lot of my appartment with jack stands a jack and some tools. to me 150$ worth of labor can be spent another way on my car...

Chill out people. Some people are mechanically inclined and some people aren't. Some people have the time to work on their car and some don't. Some people have the money to afford to have some else to do it and some don't. I have been in both places, it doesn't mean that I am wrong, or you are wrong, to do it one way or another. I have rebuilt two cars from the bottom up, mostly on jack stands with a creeper, got my first shot of brake fluid in my eye at 16, had an AT tranny slip off the jack onto my chest (a powerglide) and on and on.
Finally, not all dealer shops are the same, it takes time to find a good mechanic. My local Acura dealer sucks badly, the Honda dealer use to do basic factory maintainance work on my RSX.
What is easy and practical for one person may not be for another, but that doesn't in and of itself make it wrong.

I'm just kidding ppl, you know I love to give advice. I guess it sounded like a another dealership slam and I got a little butthurt. dude do it if you can It's about an hour for me to do IF I can remove the old gasket without pulling out a blowtorch!
