Yup, 98CoupeV6 is right. If you can spring for the bling, the dealer is the way to go, but always check the mechanics. I try to get the service writer to get a mechanic to talk with them about my car and go for the test drive with them. I always show any mechanic what I have, what I got it for, and where I expect it to be installed. I get some stuff done at Midas, but I know the ASE certified tech that works on my car and I watch him too!

Honda dealers charge a lot, yes, but if you have the money it's worth every penny. They can do a far better job at complicated and even routine maintenance than most people can, and are trained very well. My car was serviced at the dealer up until 100k and has barely required any replacement parts after that.

And your second post is just a joke. Get out of here if you're going to post BS like that. Honda dealers charge just as much as any other repair shop, the difference is that dealers use factory trained service techs who know the cars inside out.
Thanks me love you long time...

Ya cause it's me charging you right???? You hand the money over to me right?
Dude we didn't break your fu*king car, I'm here on this site helping(for free) and I could just as well not help ppl, not give free radio codes, not give free service bulletins, etc..but I do cause I like these cars and I think it's better to help not screw ppl over. Do you think I'm not a working class person? Yeah me and the other techs eat crackers and cheese and wine waiting for dumb ppl like you to come in for service so we can rape you..is that it? It's ppl like you that make me hate this site. I hope your problem is wiring related, it shorts out and burns your shit to the ground. Hopefully the fire will be hot enough to melt your APC altezzas you bought from kragens...

This is a standard bulb you can pick up at any dealer, and the replacement is simple. Just find an exploded diagram of the console and remove the parts to get below the "P, R, N,...." indicator strip.

Since they basically have a skill that you dont or arent willing to learn. You are relying on them to perform the work.
They arent going to do it for free.

Its not the P R N D, indicator on the dash board. Its on the gear shifter itself.
In front of the e-brake.

All you have to do is remove the shifter bezel, cupholder (snaps) then remove the black console cover (snaps). Bring the bulb into the dealer and ask for a replacement.
