I didnt have the original instructions when i bought them. So I'm not really sure where the bumb stops are located or if there are any for the front. The backs are visible and dont hit . The front is what I'm having problems with. Does anyone know where the front bumps are

I just spoke with Eibach and they stated that they have never had an issue with the spring rates or the springs and that they have sold over 700 pairs for that application this year. They suggestd that I cantact the tech support in the morning

I don't know what the spring rates are for the Eibachs but, in general, if you install stiffer springs with OEM shocks the ride is going to suffer...the OEM shocks are not matched with the higher spring rate. There's not enough rebound. The ride is going to be bouncy...kind of like when you see those old cars driving around with worn shocks...they bounce like crazy over every bump or dip in the road...springs will not wear but shocks will.

I went through this with my M3...I first installed H&Rs and kept the OEM shocks...the ride was absolutely horrible. Every bump felt magnified 100x. Plus, the car no longer felt connected to the road...It felt like it floated...no feel. I eventually installed SA Koni Sports and it was night and day...the ride was soooooooo much better....

I'm sure it's more a matter of proper directions then type of springs.

Eibach isn't some shmuck company that just got into the spring business like half the import parts companies. Eibach's made springs for a long time.

I would suggest a proper review of the install may be needed. Is there a left and right fr. spring, could they be in the wrong sides, can you install a 7th gen front spring upside down...sounds unlikely but?

I would wonder if you aren't hitting the untrimmed bump stops. But maybe 7th gens, don't have them? I'm just guessing at this point.

I called Eibahc and they said that there isnt any bump stops to cut and let them settle in the purches for a weeks or so and then they can assess the springs. There is only one way to install them. Could not having a front end allignment havean effect on the ride quality? I have an appointment at the end of the week for one. The wheels dont seam to be to bad out of allignment(visually),but I know I need one. I'll let you know what happens thanks guys .......

Ok, I just wasn't sure what the 7th gens had, I don't recall the TSX having them.

Does the stance first look ok? And I guess how stiff is stiff?

My Eibach's got better at high speed floatiness (if you can say that) with the install of Koni's. But mine never were stiff they always felt good.

I don't think the alignment would effect the stiffness.

Lube the springs will wd40? Clean them before install, but what's "lube" gonna do? And his struts/shocks are the stock ones, no adjustment.
