Sorry to hear you guys had so bad experience with Silverstars. I've had mine on for over a year and no problem at all. A few people I know also quite happy with them. And as I've mentioned Silverstars are not the only one brand out there.
HIDs kinda shady? :eh:

Silverstars are one of about 2 or 3 brands that are actually brighter than OEM. And it seems like they either blow in a month of 6 months or a year, but they all blow faster than OEM or HID. Not worth it to me.

When my Silverstars blew after a month or so, I bought brand new OEM headlights and discovered (to my surprise) that the OEMs were actually almost as bright, maybe to the point of being almost discernable, as the Silverstars. I hadn't known that because the OEMs had dimmed over 30 or 40k miles time.

All I'm saying is that OEMs offer only a little less tradeoff in performance, but you have the comfort and security of knowing that they won't burn out for many tens of thousands of miles.

Shady territory.......meaning there are all sorts of opinions on them, ranging from very positive to very negative.
