5 second car

Have you even driven the TSX? The 6-speed feels just as fast as the Accord sedan automatic, and its 0-60 time is just about the same. Its handling is simply BMW-esque.

15 second oops, fixed.

I drove an auto TSX. Did not feel peppy at all. The M6 may feel that quick, but it is not. No thanks!

If you are not looking to MOD a car, then what are you looking for. And btw, I never suggested for you to mod a car in the first place. The TSX is pletty peppy for everday driving. Also it all boils down to $$$. I love my TSX, and have no regrets. But this is not about the TSX. So I am sticking with the conclusion of the 6spd Accord.

Well that's because you drove the auto. Noone has ever accused that of feeling fast.

I'm not trying to get into a pissing contest with you, im trying to help you pick the best car for your needs. If you're concerned about handling, I'm mystified as to why you barely consider the TSX. And I don't know where you got the notion that the Accord V6 automatic isn't a 15 second car. They do the 1/4 in the low to mid 15's. The TSX doesn't run far off that. If you care about the difference between a couple of tenths of a second in the 1/4 mile, you're probably looking at the wrong class of cars altogether.

between the AV6 and the TL, i'd say get the TL...i was actually in the exact same spot about 2 months ago. I drove the TSX, the TL, and the AV6 6speed. the TSX and TL both out handled the AV6, and i love the was they TSX looks because after all it is the true 7th gen accord, but you are right. it is severly underpowered. my fix to this would be a comptech supercharger. you'd come out with TL power in a TSX body and still come out cheaper than the TL. at most acura dealerships you can also get them to warranty the comptech parts, but since you aren't into modding the car when you get it, i'd say get the TL. it looks a hell of alot better than the AV6, and it's got alot of potential. none of these are drag cars by any means. honda/acura's have always been more about handling agility and corner quickness than flat out str8 line acceleration anyway. after what the TSX has been doing in the speed world challenge, i've heard racers refer to it as the best handling FF car they've ever driven. so if you like the twisties and comfort, i'd say get the TSX and a supercharger to handle the pep issue. or if you're not in a big rush, wait for the 06 model, it's getting a power bump...how much power i don't know, but i know it is. there's also talk of an AWD turbo version in the works, but i don't know if there's any truth to that. but out of the TL and the AV6, TL all the way. i just decided to get an 06 Lancer EVO IX MR when they are released...power, handling, and 4 doors. anyway good luck with the decision, peacE

oh, the TSX 6speed is a 15.7 car (which is terrible considering it's supposed to be a sports sedan) the auto is in the low 16's somewhere, the AV6 auto is a 15.4 car, the AV6 6speed is a 14.7 car, and the TL with the manual is somehwere in the 14's as well, not sure about the auto.

before i drove the TSX tho, i had my mind made up that it was the only car i wanted...i was severly dissapointed when i drove it and realized that my 6th gen accord has more torque and is faster than the stock TSX. if i'm gonna pay 30k for a car i want it to be alot better than the vehicle i have now. that played the biggest part in my decision to go ahead and get an EVO instead. it's expensive, but right out of the box it's a monster. the TL is also extremely good right out of the box too...if only it had the SH-AWD system...they wasted that on the RL because the people who buy that car will never use it to it's full potential.

I am sorry, not to argue, but which 6th gen Accord did you have that is faster stock for stock versus the TSX? If you had an F23 it better have been boosted for that comment to make any sense! Now the sluggish J30A series aren't that great either in the 6th gen. A 7th gen I4 MT or even auto can own those cars all day long. I am just talking about stock. You are talking about increasing potential of the K series motor. The 6th gen AV6 is sluggish for a V6, and for a 7th gen I4 Accord or the K24 TSX for that matter can out perform that car anyday. These are just known facts.

The M6 Accord coupe is capable of mid 14s. You're telling me the auto coupe is over .5 slower?!

I never said the TSX had bad handling. It's a 15 second car & does not feel fast. I didn't like that. Felt like it had no power. I do not want the TSX. Emd of story we can move along now thanks.

The 6 speed Accord coupe is heavy? Not really.

This thread isn't about the TSX. I'm sick of talking about the TSX. I don't want the car. Get over it.
