It's coincidence. The maint req light doesn't know what you did, it goes off at scheduled intervals. I'm not sure if there's a 50K mile service Honda suggests, but you didn't break anything.

to turn off that maint. light, press on the reset button[ holding it] and turn on your car while holding it until the light goes off.
