I am selling my soul to a 5-2 60hr/wk work schedule offshore. i have a 97 honda accord lx, and im wondering about major mods now. what is the best thing to do with my car with say $6,000?(besides selling the car, and suspension upgrades, for now anyway) i searched and i see that ill need a 5spd regardless of what i do. i got a few questions tho, how much psi can an auto tranny take (60,000mi)? ive never gotten a clear answer on which is better, to go with the H22, or just boost the F22 and get the 5spd swap. so far on my f22non vtec, i have done
OBX power pulleys
OBX 421 headers
hi flow cat
AEM fuelrail
AEM CAI
Bosch wires, plugs
Hi flow Muffler

i know a guy on another board that had a boosted 5th gen auto it lasted about 3-4months at like 6-8psi...
after doing the auto to manual conversion i am almost done with completing my custom peiced turbo setup and it has set me back a little under $2k, this is with quality parts no SSAutochrome or OBX shit. AC/front mount compatable manifold and dowpipe, tial wg, blitz dd bov, dsm 450cc injecors, JRC FMIC, IC piping, mbc, boost and oil psi guages, a brand new garrett t3 to4e 57trim .60/.63 AR, chipped and socketed p28 ECU w/ f22 Uberdata bin for engine management with datalogging... and more shit i cant remember off the top
once i have the funds im gonna get another f22 block, get RaceEng forged pistons, Spark Racing forged H beam h23 rods, keep stock sleeves, new valvetrain, and should be good to go for around 320whp tuned. all of this can be done way under $6k if you look in the right places, know what your doing and do the labor yourself, if you cant do any of these then just swap in an h22 and call it a day.
