this kinda shit needs to happen more often!

situations like these make me think twice about my locking CF hood pins, they may not look very clean but they serve as a theft deterrant as well. if some idiot pulls my hood latch cable from under or breaks in and pops the hood hes still got 2 locks to pick while sirens are going off...

i was thinking about taking pics just n case they get away but i was on phone giving details to the 911 operator and it is too dark at night to take pics from a cell phone. here are some pics of what they did. the broken is the passenger side and the other is driver side. as u can see they know what they were doing.
that is the only damage they did.

Glad you got the bastards, and that you didn't get in the middle of a fight. You handled it brilliantly, and I'm glad the cops were able to respond quickly, as it seems that so many cops are more preoccupied with writing tickets in speed traps rather than fighting crime.

Reminded me of how I reacted some years back when in SoCal, and some neighborhood punks were attempting to swipe my wife's new RX7 in our driveway. I didn't handle it the way you did, and I'm lucky that it turned out the way it did. I heard them from inside the house, and snuck around from the back and saw two guys attempting to get inside the car, so I lunged at one of them with my flashlight and threw him into a 5' tall Yucca plant, and then ran off after the other one who was climbing into the backseat of a Monte Carlo parked in front of the house. I jumped into the car and started swinging at anything I could hit, and the jackasses must have thought that I was totally crazy. The guy in the Yucca plant suffered some nasty cuts from that evil plant ! lol (not him). My wife had called the cops, and the three of them were arrested - dumb crooks took their time leaving because the driver was the guy cut up from the Yucca plant ! They found some weapons inside the car, too. Its an amazing thing that I didn't get killed, for taking a flashlight to a gun fight is kinda stupid, huh? lol

Wow, awesome story, time to get back at car thieves, vigilante neighborhood watchgroup is what I suggest. No holding back. Damn laws and possibility of a lawsuit suck nowadays. At least there are laws allowing you to take certain actions (reasonable ones) to protect your own property (even firing a gun if you are in danger). For those guys, I would have aimed for a leg or somthing, hehehe. But yeah, surprised to see the police come so fast.

I got a sign that says "steal here, die here" posted above the garage door in full view of my driveway full of hondas. I will call the cops after the gunfire is over, if you think that's overkill move to North korea or china where you can't own nice cars. I personally work too hard to have a lowlife come onto MY property and steal my stuff. It's too bad that the idiots of the world come and get into hobbies/lifestyles whatever you want to call it and ruin it for everyone. I'm getting rid of all my modified hondas and keeping the 90ish accords for daily drivers. Tired of the cops, the thiefs and the bullshit. On the same kinda note I hate also the bandwagoning that everyone does, I started the honda thing cause they are good cars and the aftermarket and racing came later. Now it's like everyone has one and thinks they are speed racer x. Kinda like how everyone is into choppers now, barf
