the fans are working fine. when the car is shut off the fans spin to cool off the engine. im hoping its just the thermostat. funny thing was today driving back home from work it didnt even go past the half way mark. it stood at about 1/4 all the way home. WTF???? well im gonna change it just to make sure.

okay...that is exactly the same problem i had...fans only spun when i turned teh car off

this is waht you have to do:

there are the 2 green plugs as i cicled...most likely its teh top one (near teh intake)...but u can check them by un plugging them and using the paper clip technique to complete the cicuit

so unplug the green 'plug' and just use a wrench to take off the part that it plugs into....have the new one ready cuz hte fluid starts to come out (so make sure car is cool) then just screw it back on, and tighten it up and you're done

mine costed me $60 for the part from the dealer, but that is canadian dollars

that black cable that u see going on top of the intake....it doesn't connect to anythign, i always wondered if it was suppose to connect anywhere, but my intake has nothing for it to connect to...

about the plugs...i had mine checked at the shop...so they unplugged the top plug, and stuck some device into teh green plug (i guess it completes teh curcuit and the fan started spinning) so he knew right away taht was bad

then the front green plug, he did the same thing, but nothign happened, but in teh end he concluded it was the top one, so i went home and changed it myself, and it works fine now

i was told, to unplug the green plug...and plug a paper clip into it, so teh curcuit completes, that way if the fan starts to spin, u've found your problem....most likely that is the problem..to be honest with you, if you want, just change both

remember, your NOT changing the plug...your changing the part the plug, plugs into

i think its the 'rad fan switch'

i got a print out from the honda dealer here in canada

it says:
page: WATER PUMP; (E 15)
u want part number 16 and/or 18

i changed part 16 on my car (the one near the intake)
