My car has Karr alarm installed, but not the remote keyless entry. The model says it comes with remote keyless feature. The model number is 2040. Anyone knows how to make it work?

According to Karr site Karr Security Remote Keyless Entry is an option on your model. You may have to get an extra part for this feature to be enabled, just like I had to buy a transponder for my Clifford RSX 3.5 Security/Remote Start system to bypass Honda factory security system.

 

Thanks for the reply. I confirmed with dealer that they need to connect the wires from alarm box to the car, no additional parts are needed. They will charge $55 for that. Can I connect them myself? Is this a easy job?

 

Forgot to mention that my car is 98 LX...

 

If you have a manual, wiring diagrams and any kind of experience with electrical car harnesses, should not be too complicated. I looked at my alarm system diagram and hell no way I am doing it myself. But again I have no experience in this field. Well, I paid certified Clifford installer to do installation for me. At least if smth goes wrong I have someone to bitch at
