I believe all the F23 motors are the same. The only differences are if it's VTEC equipped and/or the Emmission specifications. For example

F23A1....SOHC VTEC (150hp)
F23A4....SOHC VTEC (ULEV-148hp)
F23A5....SOHC NON VTEC (SULEV-135hp)

The F23A4 motors are sold in Ca, and parts of the North East . It's only down 2hp, but nothing an Intake won't fix.

notoriousB is in the middle of an engine build for his F23 right now. He's not on here, but you could PM him on www.honduh.com or www.honda-tech.com he can answer a ton of technical questions you might have. he has crowler rods, and pistons.

have you also read that article on SCC about that f23 build up? its pretty impressive.

A non-Vtec F would be a wonderful engine to do a full build on and then swap in a turbo kit, none of that silly Vtec computer stuff to get in the way

It would also be easier to get a reground cam made too.
