fix F22B1 and Boost it or H22 swap???

do a swap and won't have to worry about much problems if done right.
Boosting is a lot more fun, can be come quite expensive and costly in the long run.
I'd do a swap and boost later if I have more cash if I was you.

either do an H22 swap or try to find a nice low miles F22b1 and turbo that.
F22 Turbos will make more power and can be fairly reliable, though a H22 swap is still going to more reliable if this is your daily driver.

do a leak check, if it's fine then turbo it.
A mild head work includes valve job, valvetrain upgrades, P&P + an equal length and match ported intake manifold, etc. + a good turbo setup. You should be looking at ~220-250whp safely given that your tuner does a good job. It'll be faster than an h22 + bolts on (~180-200whp max). It's fun. Make sure you have a good setup and a GOOOOOOD Tuner.

Yeah i would say check the engine to see whats wrong with it, then do a leak/head check and if its fine turbo it. It doesnt really matter how many miles you put on it, as long as it checks out fine, plus if you need a new one you could grab a low mile stock f22, or even a stock dohc f22 for 500 bucks. It will be MUCH faster then a stock h22 or even a stock turboed h22 because you can boost it way more cause of the lower cr.
Edit: almost forgot, you can put together a turbo for about 1700 bucks, that leaves enough to fix your engine, buy new pistons and ringlands because you will need them for your turbo if you are going to boosting 16+ psi daily. And you could even buy a good ems and be at about 3200 bucks.

I see 3 stock h22 boosted @~280-379 whp daily without problems and still going strong. One of those two have been and still boosting after 2+ years. Saw one online making 440+whp stock. Don't know if it's daily driver. So stock internals on H22 aren't that weak. You just need a good tuner and a good setup And of course, a good drive too
