Default H22a questions

wondering if the H22a head will fit on the stock F23a1 block with or without modifications, is it the same bolt pattern bigger or smaller.

If I remember correctly, then you can do it. Go to Honda-tech.com. There are couple guys who're doing the Frankenstein and seems to run fine with minor modification.

yes it will work. It requires blocking off a bunch of stuff. Its more cost effective to just do the engine swap than to do the head swap unless you just so happend to have all of the things laying around to do it with.

I know of H23 with H22 head, but never heard of F23 with it done. Regardless, an ful H22 swap is alot better, especially longevity wise.

wont it run cheaper since it is only the h22 or h23 head to buy instead of the whole motor and just had a question will the head bolt right up to the block and what type of modifications are listed thanks.

like i said before unless you have all of the parts laying around it would be much easier and probably cheaper to just do the whole swap. More than likly you will have the same amount of money in either or, but IMO the full engine swap would last longer than just a head swap and would have many less problems. But if you want information from someone who has already done the swap here is the link H22A head swap. Also read the whole thread not just the first post. There is alot more information in it.

You proved me wrong. I didn't know you could interchange unrelated engine parts like that or better yet, convert a SOHC block to run a DOHC head.
