Default 99 passat v6 5 speed vs. 99 accord v6

just got back from meeting my friend at school and he followed me out of the parking lot. i get out of the parking lot first and get to a red light 10 seconds before he does. As he pulls up, the light changes and he has a 2 car length headstart. i didnt even have time to power brake (its too bad that year v6 only came w/ a 4 speed auto.) and i still ended up passing him by second gear, about 75 or 80 mph. we only got up to about 100 and i owned him the whole way. not bad for an auto, i guess. funny thing is we get up to the next light and theres a state trooper at the light waiting. good thing we had stopped racing by then.

99 honda accord = 3.0L VTEC V6, AEM V2 intake, damn 4 speed auto.
99 VW passat v6= 2.8L V6, 190 hp, 5 speed manual

Wow great, Passats weigh like 3500 pounds. Race something that might come vaguely close to beating you.

Oh yeah, and TOS violation hnoes:

you're so funny lol lol hahaha lol lol lol. Grow up.

That thing does the 1/4 in the low 16's. At least brag about something fast. I've tied an Infiniti I35 (260hp) with 2 people in it and beaten a '92 Camaro V8 5-speed (215hp). Plus it's a TOS violation to post your illegal street racing stories, so please don't post that stuff here.

i would hardly consider an I35 fast, plus they weight about 3500 lbs. racing an i35 isnt saying much, and by the way, only G35's (they have the VQ35 engine) have 260 hp not the I35's. a 92 camaro v8 has newhere from 230-245 hp, so theres no way u beat him. and if u did, he wasnt trying ....so try again. and its not like ur cars fast neway w/ 177000 miles on it and a short ram. lol so find something else to brag about

Okay they have 230-245 horsepower, I apologize as I don't know much about older domestics...and I'd imagine he was trying, since it was one of my friends and he was completely shocked that I beat him. The I35 has the VQ35 with 260 horsepower, you're thinking of the I30 which has the VQ30. And oh yeah, the I35 does the 1/4 mile in 15.3 according to MT. That's pretty darn quick to me, a second faster than the Passat you 'raced'. And I'm not 'bragging', bragging is posting your asinine illegal street racing stories on our forum.

Yeah not like my car's fast or anything with all those miles (when I did 138 last fall I must've been delusional)...and I guess I misread my friend's dyno sheet that showed a clear horsepower and torque advantage of the SRI over the CAI on the J30A1...geez I'm such an idiot. Grow up kid, I'm not going to be offended by shit a junior in high school says :slap:
