Okay Fellas,

I sense the hostility building here because of my lack of using the search feature, so I'll try and be brief and civil; seems the majority of the replies point towards using regular unleaded on the sixth generation V-6's, correct? I seemed to have misplaced my manual; thought it was in the glove box, but my car recently relocated from New York to Vegas along with me, and I need to find the manual again......does anyone know FOR SURE what the manual suggests for fuel in the sixth generation V-6 cars? Should I just run normal, 87 regular unleaded (especially, as many suggested, with astronomical gas prices right now)?

H22a needs premium..as with other dohc vtec motors as they have high compression ..

Okay, fellas, this is what I was scared of........now, I am being told PREMIUM should be put in the sixth generation V-6's.....is this true or false? My manual, from what I REMEMBER, says nothing of using Premium.....and, as alot of people suggested on this site, unless it says Unleaded Premium Only on the gauge cluster, nothing but regular should be used otherwise its a waste of money........

What is the VERDICT here?

Look inside the gas door the sticker in there says the octane rating but I think your right 87 octane for the V6 Accord.

The verdict is to do a search and find out the correct answer, as I don't feel like typing up an explanation when I've already done it at least twice in this forum.

Hey look, I did your work for you. There's even a thread that has the scanned page of the issue of C&D comparing 87 v premium gas in the J30A1 that I've talked about before.

Well, thanks 98Coupe, for doing all the work, and for, as usual, your delightful, disrespectful sacrastic reactions.

Sorry I did not search fast enough for you, but you SAW the kinds of mixed-up answers I was getting in here.....

By the way, when I try to click on that link you provided, all I get is "SORRY, WRONG MATCH, TRY AGAIN".....

Thank you. Cant you just tell me what grade of gasoline is supposed to be used in our motors, being you have basically the same car?
