So much for Honda Quality - 2005 Accord in the shop
Starting hearing a sound when coasting in neutral, forwards/backwards and with the engine off/on. Was told it could be the universals. Might have to be replaced. Car has 4,200 miles on it. Sounded like popcorn in the microwave .....honestly that is the best way to describe the sound. I traded in a Dodge to avoid things like this.....

You can't avoid new car bugs. It's a mass produced machine, the assembly process isn't perfect 100% of the time. You'll probably have a few more gremlins before it's over with. Either buy used, or take the bus.

Guy's I'm just pissed, but I would take Honda/Toyota anyday over the other makes. Hopefully they find the issue and can fix it. I put 175k miles on a Toyota Corolla with ZERO problems. I just hope it's nothing serious.

It could just be the small percent of manufacturing defects that Honda didn't catch.
But no car maker is perfect. Honda quality will beat any domestic car makers' quality level.
Did you contact Honda Motor Corp. directly?
Put it this way, there are a lot more late model Hondas on the road than equivalent domestic cars. This should mean a lot in terms of the legacy of Honda quality.
