Default Trans. Fluid Recommended

I went to get my oil change yesterday, I drive 02 ac
they told me i need to get new trans fluid changed. and it will cost me $99.99.. I have 58K mileage on. I havn't got it done since I got my car...
do I need to get it done ASAP? or it's ok for couple K?

It's an auto I assume? You should do it at least every 30k miles. You can change it yourself if you are capable of changing your own oil.

Take into the Honda Dealer or do it yourself. Sometimes those oil change places use the right fluid. I had best luck with Honda ATF.

automatic, go to honda and get some honda atf and do it yourself.

manual, go to autozone and get some pennzoil sychromesh.

Honda ATF only, do a search. There have been many threads about how other fluids will mess up your tranny.

And dude take better care of your car...you should be getting your second tranny fluid change now. I just changed mine after 25k miles and it was black and felt very broken down. Honda trannies (esp the V6) are so fragile that you need to take perfect care of them for them to last awhile.

it shouldnt be different, especially since u can order the atf online for same price. and the labor is a joke.

agreed, honda's atf. I always order mine from manchester
