honestly, i used to be into the same crap that you are i started shifting the auto tranny like it was stick but i ended up spending 2000 bux on a new tranny it's pain just let the car do what it has to do leave it alone accords are not for racing today my frined with his 1998 2.3 5spd VTEC honda accord got smoked by a 1.6 honda civic. i used to think oh the sitck version of my car would be faster but no man guess what accords are family cars and not for racing unless if modified drastically.

on obd1 hondas its the TCU that controls the tranny.
