Allignment

Allignment
Okay, i'm really tired of looking at my uneven tire wear.
I have 94 accord coupe with neuspeed sport springs and i bought adjustable front camber for the front, had it alligned and ofcourse its still on negative camber. I put a total of three washers for the rear (3 on each side ofcourse) and same thing they're still negative camber.
My question is if i buy the SPC ball joint would that take care of my camber?
And of course what would i need for the rear?
Where is the cheapest place to buy these parts?
One last thing i'm thinking of taking my car to a good shop for them to just take care of the camber problem all four sides, i know it will cost money but i'm really tired of the uneven tire wear. How much should i be looking at? San Francisco bay area shops please.

umm...the place should adjust the kits to get red of the wear...
i went to wheel works in san mateo, had it done for 130, one year warranty and they align the camber as well. good stuff.
as far as the rear washer trick...i dont know what to tell you, just add more washers? lol

for the rear, you can go to home depot or orchard supply to get longer bolts and some more washers. the bolts are M10 x 1.25 pitch. i believe stock is 40 mm in length, i got 45 or 50 because OSH didn't have longer ones when i went.
the SPC ball joint kit should work well and most likely nothing will need to be modified (fender or shaving of suspension components).
do you know what your camber is right now? it'll help you select the right ball joint kit and the number of extra washers.

I have to check my camber i forgot what it is now.
And for the back i put on 3 washers each side (total of 6 each side)
Callbearz24 spc ball joint "SHOULD" work well, and "NOTHING WILL NEED TO BE MODIFIED".
Does that mean if i buy the right ball joint "I WILL NEVER HAVE NEGATIVE CAMBER ANYMORE" (with proper allignment from the shop ofcourse)
Or "MOST" of them that bought the spc ball joint got it fixed after.
I don't want to spend anymoney unless it is a guarantee that "I WILL NEVER" have negative camber...
Or take it to a shop?

sorry, i guess i should've been clearer. when i said that most likely nothing should have to be modified, i meant the fender well, control arm, etc. won't have to be modded to fit. with the anchor bolt style kits, some people have had to make mods to those or other parts to make things fit without any hitting/rubbing. completely correcting your camber to 0° isn't absolutely necessary, though. i believe spec is from -1.0° to +1.0°. most cars will have slightly negative anyway. it's just that when you get towards +/-1.7° or above you're more likely to have the abnormal tire wear. nobody can guarantee you anything because every single car is different and reacts differently from other cars with the same setup. i had -1.9° camber on the front of mine and got the SPC ball joint kit that corrects up to 1.5°. i couldn't get to 0°, but was well within spec after installation. my rear wheels were around -1.7° and were corrected to -0.8°.

You would want to stay somewhere around -.5° on the camber. It will improve handling on cornering, and will not be enough to cause uneven tire wear. You gotta keep regular with tire rotations too though.

I actually forgot to put "MOST LIKELY" on there, coz i'm really close to raising my car back to its normal height( if there's no other way to fix the camber)oh yeah i have 215/45/17 kumho directional tires and i do rotate it from front to back.
So is there any good shop in San Francisco bay area that i could take my car and have them take care of it? Or should i still buy the right spc ball joint then go to a shop?
Or maybe install it myself then take it to a shop, coz i installed my front camber kit.

if you go back to stock height, please don't roll on 17s. that will look awful. think 4x4.
if you have the right tools to install the ball joint, by all means do it yourself and get someone to align it. SPC makes two kits, one that corrects up to 1.5° and the other up to 3.0°. ingalls has ball joint style kits as well but they cost more.

Yeah. don't go for 17s with stock height. I have directional tires also. You can only rotate back to front, but you can also get them rotated at a tire shop. They charged me around 60 bucks when I go to get the tires rotated, since they gotta remove all the tires, and remount them, and then balance them. I followed calbearz advice and bought the spc balljoints. Hopefully tomorrow we will finally get some good weather so I can do my suspension (I've been looking at my shocks, coilover sleeves, and camber kit for like 3 weeks now just sitting in my room). I'm going to try to install the kit myself, my boy that I'm installing with is a mech, so he should have whatever we need, and if not I'll just run over to a suspension shop right by his house, with the a arm and have them put it in.
It seems like you are just very impatient about what you are trying to do with your car.
PS. I don't think I'm gonna do anything about my rear. I don't have a problem with tire wear in the back, so I will probably just not even try the bolt and washer trick.
