2k accord wheel&tire questions
I'm looking at going with some 18" wheels on my accord. they have a +40 offset,is that to much?? I don't want them to stick out?? also,if the car is lowered about 1.5",what is the biggest size tire i could put on that wheel without having rubbing issues?? 235/40 225/45??? If anyone has pics of their wheels with these tire sizes send them to me.

You'll most likely rub with a 40 offset. Try to get something around the 45-48 if you want to avoid rubbing (based on a 7.5" wide wheel). 235 will make you rub even more. Go with 225/40, trying to eliminate wheel gap isn't really the right direction. 225/45 won't kill you, but you might not have the tire selection you would with 225/40.

my friend's accord has an eibach pro kit (1.5"drop) with 18" racing harts 225/40 tires and it looks great. But,not sure what offset he has. I want the car to be lowered but not alot because its an everyday driver and i don't wanna deal with scraping up the bumpers and underside. I'd rather not lower the car at all but even if i go 19" there will still be a big gap between the wheel and fender.

Bigger wheels don't fill up fender gap. If you got 23 there's still going to be a big fender gap because you'll be painting your tires onto your rim to retain your stock ratio :P

Sizin up a touch more then stock (overall) will not damage too much, as long as you only size up at most an inch. Yeah I know, just thought it was funny...
my point was you CAN increase the overall diameter by about an inch or so and still be legit. Anymore and you will get in trouble.... if you had sad 185/70/14.... then 215/40/17 would still be stock exterior diameter (70-40=30= three inch decrease, 17-14= three inch increase) but you could also have 215/40/18 and not cause problems.
just liked the the thought of 23s on an accord, cause you just know some idiot has tried it
