This sounds like a tranny problem, how is it shifting? Mine did weird shit like that before it died.

check your Intake Idle Air Control Valve, Fast Idle Valve, make sure theres no bubbles in your coolant, and no vacuum leaks.
Edit: also check the TPS
also try adjusting adjusting your idle , the proper way to do it is to adjust the idle screw to the desired idle with the IACV UNPLUGGED.
