I don't see why mixing springs that way would not work, but the front shocks will die a lot faster I would guess from the additional inch drop from the sportlines compared to the prokit.
lowering the car more doesn't make the shocks work any harder given the same spring rate...if spring rate increases, shocks work harder and wear out quicker..has nothing to do with ride height

I am just curious as to how low of a drop the sportsline will give.. i don't want the car to feel unbalanced with the front lower then the rear.
car will not feel unbalanced have the front lower than the rear (called rake) ...it will feel exactly the same...it gives you the possiblility to get the rear end out a little easier but you will definately not notice anything different on the street

imo you should just try it...if it doesn't work then sell the springs...not a big deal...to me anyways

I have a 5th gen on prokits. I also have sportlines but I have not installed them. I'm thinking of installing them because I want my drop to be a little lower as well. Here're some pics of my drop. I had 18s but recently moved to 17s, these pics are on page 5. Hopefully someone else can post some pics as well:

we installed the tein s-tech's on an accord sedan, and it sits almost the same thing too. one more thing too prokit has harder spring rate than the sportline, but you know what tein coilovers makes the superstreets and are worth it, i mean its like buying a set of springs and a set of struts, a plus is that your height is adjustable and so is the dampening of the strut. for $1,000.00 its worth it.

Coilovers like Tein, Apexi, etc are going to give you the most flexibility, but if you want to keep a spring and shock combo, check out the Koni SP3 shocks...they aren't as cheap as a set of Sportlines springs but if you are worried about the rear going too low, this might be a good option for you.

They let you "fine tune" the drop within about a half inch either way. I have H&R sports with the front down another .25" using the SP3's. I could go another .25" lower in the front but I think it looks pretty even right now:

Accord 4U2, car looks great? What kind of wheels? When did you lower it? My pro kit on my old Accord looked like that for a couple weeks and then settled noticeably about a month later and no more problematic wheel gappage.

Yeah, as it sits right now I could lower the front another .25" and I could lower the rear another .25" or .5". The shocks have 5 grooves, each about .25" apart. I'm down one groove up front and in the middle groove in the rear.

A little lower would look better but right now it's a good compromise between looks and driveability for me.

It looks fine to me, I have that same set up but haven't put it on the car yet debating on if I should lower the front to the 4th setting or leave it on the middle all the way around.

That sounds awesome, somebody should have told me about this shocks before i bought the Tokicos h: h:

Is the dampness adjustable on the shocks as well.. or just the height? how does it ride? i don't want a spine breaking stiff ride
