Default Need instructions for replacing door mirrorr

I have purchased the mirror but cannot get it to snap into the housing/cover.
It looks very straightforward but there must be a trick.
Thanks

Welcome. What year Accord? On 5th and 6th gen Accords, pop the triangle off inside the door, that'll give access to the bolts/nuts. On the 5th gens you can unplug the power mirror right there, on 6th gens you need to remove the door panel to unplug it. Not sure what you mean by not snapping in...?

I have a 1999 Accord LX 4 door sedan. I assume the mirror snaps in because it popped out when the housing/case was hit by road debris. There are 2 white "buttons" that fit into the backside of the mirror that are for remote adjustment.
Thanks

I have exact same question about the exact same year accord... same situation.... side view mirror was struck and the glass/mirror popped right out.

I ordered a new peice of glass from Majestic Honda (Part number 76203-S4K-A41 Mirror Sub Assy., R) and have the exact same problem.

It looks like the new glass should pop right into the mirror housing put wasn't able to with my initial attempt.

The side mirror housing has a 4 sided round plug and two little white rounded ball joints, and the mirror glass has a socket for each of these to snap into, however when I apply force to pop the glass in the socket side in the mirror housing just moves around.

Is there a trick to this? Can someone scan the helms manual page on assembling/reassembling this part?

Another thing i noticed is each one of the sockets on the replacement glass peice has a key ring type circular metal spring that keeps the socket tight... do I need to remove these or prep these in anyway?

All you have to do is pry the mirror glass out with a flathead screwdriver.

I don't know what to tell you. I've never taken my glass off. Did you break the mounting clips? Push hard enough?

I finally got the sucker in...

I loosened up the sockets that the white things slide into with a pen (pushed it in and moved it around in circles)

Then I coated everything with some grease, and got the lower white ball plug in first, then the larger middle plug, then finally the last white one.
