Lots of F/R play on front wheels - bad CV joints?

I had similar clunking noises on the from of my car. I had replace the balljoints and other suspensios stuff; it turn out to be a bad wheel bearing was the culprit.

Wheel bearings make a completely different noise...it's a loud whirring and it gets louder when a turn puts more pressure on the affected wheel.
