AUX Input for 1999 accord
Hi,
I;m trying to do a DIY ipod adapter to connect my ipod to my 1999 accord HU.
Can anyone please tell me/link to obtain the informations for the AUX input connector???
To be more clear, I'm in search to find out from AUX input connector (pin) which pins in Left, which is Right, and which is Ground...etc
So does anyone know about it/ or where could i get these kind of info.??
Thanks,
Tom

Are you looking for a blitzsafe adapter to plug the iPod in via the CD changer port on the rear of the OE radio?
You might also try Dension USA they sell iPod kits that work via the OE changer controls.

yeah you're right... i think that is possible with the RCA input w/ no mods!!!
on second thought might use my old alpine deck....does blitzsafe make those cd-changer adapter for alpine ???
also, does anyone know the diagram for those blitzsafe (13 pins connector)???? like which pin is Left Speaker, Right Speaker, and Ground.....
the reason why i used this DIRECT method to connect my ipod to my old alpine HU is because it would sound much better than the iTrip FM transmitter... alpine cda-7995 is an old version so it doesn;t support ipod like the newer, 2004, models.

Crutchfield sells both, the older head units I think used the M-Bus see if you have a plug like that. www.densionusa.com has the coolest setup IMO for running the iPod any gen on your OE deck.

I have the neo ion www.mp3yourcar.com and really like it. Basically it plugs into the back of your stock radio and takes place of a cd changer. The install is really straight forward and the sound quality is great.

Dension IceLink Plus
I called Dension about 2 days ago and they told me that the price for the IceLink Plus was 200 Bucks (even thought the site states it's 230). Now I don't know if that price is specific to my model car though, maybe different cars = different prices (I have an '03 Accord if you're wondering). I did a search today on google and I found it on the IceLink Plus on LogJam . com for $169 but you need to then buy another part to connect it to your stock radio so it probably will come out to the same or more for the IceLink Plus. But I can't find the Mini cradle on Logjam which is what I want. Anyways, hope it helps. I know it's only a 30 dollar difference (call them and find out) but if you're using your stock radios I heard its one of the best routes to go.
