Very annoying rattling from teh rear deck..
It comes everytime i hit a bump or is constant on a rough road, it sounds metallic but i don't think it's the shock mounts.. It seems to be coming from teh middle somewhere, but i can't seem to pin point it.

I have the a similar noise in my 98 Accord. I heard it was the catalytic converter. It seems that within time, the ceramic inside it breaks and causes this noise. If anyone could confirm this, it would be great. I don't want to buy a new cat for no reason.

well, every case is different, i kno for a fact my shocks are blown, cuz when i switched over from coilovers to my eibach prokits they were almost gone, had very little to no rebound, so its been almost 1 year since that, and everytime im on an uneven road or a bad road my shocks just bang against the top and rattle like crazy cuz the rears are blown, i heard from some people they had rattling and it was due to sway bar or its endlink loose or something. btw the cat or EPA warranty thing is not for ANY CAR under 100 K miles, its 88,000 miles or less.

This TSB might be a fix for your problem. If you change the numbers you can find other tsb's as well.

In my case, I am almost certain it is the cat. My car only rattles between 1.5 and 2k rpms. Before and after, there is no noise. Not only that, I can be just sitting in the driveway, and it will rattle (between the above rpms).
