Default Accord Speed Limiter

I have a 98 Accord EX 4 CLY VTEC auto, and i recently swaped the factory rim/tire combo for some 17 inch rims. I now run a 215/40 17 tire. The speedo now reads high. At an indicated 75 mph, i am really only doing 69 mph. Does this mean my top speed limiter will kick in early, because the car thinks it is traveling faster then it is? Does anybody now what the limiter kicks in at?

the car won't be able to go much faster than 130mph. it doesn't have the power to go much faster. you do realize by going with a tire/wheel diameter smaller than stock you're going to rack up the odometer quicker? why didn't you go with a 215/45/17 size, or something closer to stock?

when you get tires next get one of these sizes. you can always go to www.tire.com to get the correct size if you go up or down a wheel size.

On occasion, at the "super long track", I can hit 140, but that's usually on like a 30F day on a downhill.
