Low Battery?
Hi guys,
Yesterday evening, I drove to the local store and left my car on outside. ( remote start thing ) When I got back in the car my dash lights, radio on, headlights(HID ) and fog lights( regular ) etc.....was very very dim. So I gave her a little gas and everything lit back up normal. While I gave her gas the maintenance light came on for like 1 second then turned off.
I then go to my friends house and while im waiting for him outside I notice the same thing is happening. When he gets in my car I go to drive away and the car kinda like rev'd really low when i shifted to Drive as if it was about to stall. Also the maintenance light came on again for about 1 second.
We drove around yesterday and I didnt experience any problems afterwards. Im thinking since it was raining the belt probablygot wet and was slipping on the pully.
Today I drove around and everything was fine. No problems.
MAtter of fact, last night I took a brush and cleaned my positive terminal cause it was corrodied. Think that could of been the problem?
sorry for hte long post. Tryin to be descriptive

When a car is running the battery will stay charged unless it is not getting the proper power from the alternator which means it is more likely that your alternator is going bad.

I overheard from someone that you could put a grease or something on the terminal to prevent corrosion.
I have stinger battery terminals and was told since they are made of aluminum or whatever material it is ( non -OEM ) that i shouldnt put anything on it. true?
