Default Arite we Installed coilovers on my boyz car but somethings weird.

Arite everything went pretty gravy, but the only problem was that the washer on the shock coul not be removed, the one above the bumpstop on the front shocks. So we just slipped the coilover sleeves over the washer and the bumpstop.

We finished wut we had to do and lowered leaving about 10 threads on the sleeve, we brought it down off the jacks and there was about a 1 finger gap, then we raised it again and i adjusted the coilovers to the lowest position and the height still seems the be the same.

Might it be the washer that was attached to the or the bumpstop (that was not cut) that doesnt allow the car to drop more. I believed u dont need bumpstops with coilovers but we couldnt take the bumpostop off because of that washer thing in the way. So someone gimme tips

. . . they are stock shocks by the way . . .

Ah thank u.

my tip, never use stock shocks when you drop your car. its unsafe, you'll blow them out real quick, and your going to bounce all over the place because they are not designed to handle the spring rate for a dropped car. don't cheap out, get a decent pair of shocks.

Thats false. I have eibach sports springs on my stock shocks (113k miles on my car, about 85k on the eibachs) and they are completely fine. Just depends if the springs were designed for stock shocks like mines were.

is my whole statement false? does your ride bounce at all? I'd never trust stock shocks with a drop lower than a 1.5in drop. I don't believe in being cheap when it comes to suspension. you can't tell me that stock shocks and lowered springs handle very well. if you do, then you need to take a ride in an accord with a decent suspension setup.

You are defintly correct in what you said. BUT i have something to add to it. Obviously someone doesnt undstand how a strut works. Your stock struts are made for the spring that came with them. They complement the spring. The spring does most of the work while the strut is just there for support. If you drop the car AT ALL. The Stock strut then is under load at all times. Even if its just a little bit, with in a few months ALL of your struts will have to be changed. Or it will bounce around. When you do change them i suggest getting the KYB ajustable struts and that should solve your strut problem. Also the reason you may not notice a diffrence. You wont notice untill you have droped your car. BUT i cant fit a floor jack under my car. I have to raise it with the manual tire changing jack enough so that the floor jack can slide under the car. But once i jack it up change what ever im changing and let it back down then "MAGICLY" the floor jack will slid under with out the help of the other jack. THEN once i move the car back about a car lenght and the move it back to where it was the car is usually back down
where its supose to be.

arite cool, but nobodyz answering my questionz . . .

Why is the car not dropped soo low if the sleeves are at their lowest position?

Is it the bumpstop? Because i couldnt remove it to cut it or anything becuase there was a washer that i could not remove by turnin or jus pullin it.

How could i remove that washer? Sounds like a dumb question but its the truth.

dont waste time trying to fix anything or do anything just get some good shocks asap and if u like coilovers u have to get the good stuff like tein ss -p ... no matter what u do with ur stock shocks u have to wear a helmet when u drive same goes for the passengers. save money and spend it good and once.

yeah my ride handles great dude. No bounce whatsoever...not even a hint of it. Ive been in cars with shitty suspension, and i know what it feels like to have blown shocks. And these people that say that you will destroy your struts with different springs should stop cuz im LIVING PROOF that that shit is completely false.
