i been seeing alot of this, Dyno Tuning, in my searches. i know that the dyno machine figures out max hp and stuff, but the whole dyno tuning thing is new to me. Or then again, i am new to it. i tried searching, but nothing. how does this work? and about what would be the average hp gain from doing this? and $$$

Goddamn. Pick up a book. I'm tired of reading your uneducated posts.

:werd:

Edit: For clarification, there is no gain doing a dyno. Unless you mean the expensive tuning time that generally goes along with the process of NEEDING a dyno. Dude, you're like me and you're like 75% of the people on this board, so let me spell this out for you boltons DO NOT need dyno tuning. (You K-Series Hondata guys, spare me me, we're talking about F-series and under 200whp heh.)

Please, and I'm honestly begging you, do research. Use common sense. A dyno does not "figure out" maximum power and torque, it provides a tuning graph to figure out weak points in your powerband and retune accordingly, most of this has to do with A:F ratios. Anyways, RTFM.

.
im suprised it took this long for anyone to say something.

you dont have nothing to tune, your car is basically stock automatic with minor bolt ons.

if you get a NA build or go forced induction and have some sort of engine/fuel management then think about dyno tuning. dyno tuning sessions are not cheap either btw.

non vtec engine, so stock would be 130hp? plus maybe 5-7 from mods

so say 140 max if the compression is good and all. mulitply by 15% and you have the esitmated whp.
