Default Vtec problem in F22B1

Hi, I just recently bought a 1990 accord w/ an F22B1, and upon hittin 5000 rpm when vtec shud engage, car messes up (electronics go wild, shakin, loss of control). As well, the clock never reads correct time, always resets. i figure the cpu is messed up, but was also wonderin if it had nethin to do with oil level (cuz i know vtecs are super picky) or the solenoid is goin. Any advice is good advice, thx!

Nope I'm guessing it's the CPU.

i bought car with swap done already, and 90, 91 accords run obd0 systems, is it possible that ecu wasnt updated to obd1 for new motor, and if so, do i only need a obd0-obd1 converter?

lol, the f22's engage at 3k
*edit*
it could just be somthing with the alternator overflowing or somthing when you reach a certain point, have your car diagnosed
