Is it possible to hook up an aftermarket cd player to the factory radio steering wheel controls in a 2001 honda accord ex? If so how?

 

It is possible and I have it installed on my 02 EX V6. I found this remote control unit on Crutchfield's site and it hooks up to the remote control wire on the car's radio harness. It was fairly easy to install and you can choose the functions for the three buttons on the wheel. I have mine set as follows: Vol Up= track forward, Vol Down=Track back, and audio button scans through the chapters/radio presets. I can scan through all of the chapters on a mp3 disc, or presets on FM or Satelite radio without ever taking my hands off the wheel, a lot more funtional than before.

only if it comes with a stock remote control on the wheel. my 97 EX didn't.

 

If the head unit has a wiring input port for remote control, then yes. Then it's all wiring.

I'm still trying to wire the stereo remote controls to my LX model...I'm gonna have to wedge the wire through the steering column somehow. i have all the parts to do it.
