I just wanted to know what i should do to a high mileage car (it is getting old). I want to keep the car (i don't want it to die). Other than the examples i gave (timeing belt and adjust the valve system) what else is there that should be done to it? (real help preferred)
The car has 180 thousand miles
i hope i made this post clear enough, sorry if the last post was not...
thanx for any help

im tellin u now, get that timing belt replaced ASAP...i picked up an acura integra 5 speed with 135k miles on it, timing belt broke and blew the head...doesn't matter too much cuz i just bought the thing as a second project car anyway...but since that car is your primary driver, if u blow the timing belt, u're lookin at a minimum of 1400 damage...so get it done

I'd invest the money into maintenance and keep it going. Assuming that the car hasn't been completely neglected all these years, it is certainly not at the end of it's rope. I've driven Accords w/ well over 200k miles that run fine. Get the timingbelt/waterpump/oil seal/balance shaft belt replaced and anything else that might need attention. It will last at least another 5 reliable years.
