what is your budget for parts anyway? that would help people in what they can recommend for options. Also what are you expectations for the performance mods you hope to get? I know of a reputible person selling a used turbo kit without the fuel management for $1800.(drag turbo kit) Don't know if that is in your budget but I figured I throw it out there. I personally think your money would be best spent on suspension mods as the parts you are thinking about will not really yeild a major gain that you are hoping for. I don't know what your current suspension mods are but that is just my recommendation. also what year accord do you have?

i got a 97 lx, i was wondering why would you recommend suspension? do they help out alot with acceleration, cuz i heard that they do. im just asking because i dont plan on racing thru traffic or any curves, just a drag race thing. my budget is about 600dollars right now. as for mods i got a CAI, HI flow cat, new plugs and wires, straight thru muffler.

Because unless you drop some serious coin on your motor, it's still gonna be slow. Straight line, in the turns, doesn't matter.

If you invest in a nice suspension and tires (and larger and wider wheels preferably) then it'll at least be fun (and faster) to drive in the turns.

I don't really see the appeal in dropping a half second from your et when you're starting with what you got. I'd much rather tear down a windy road than make a 16-17 second pass. But that's just me.

And even if you DO end up building some drag monster...you are gonna need some suspension, tires modification to help your times.

And BTW...you won't likely get much help with an attitude.

I agree with jschmid completly on suspension. the accord might not be meant to be fast but you can have a lot of fun on the back roads with a good suspension setup. you already have all the basic bolt-ons and what you are willing to spend for performance will not get you much. maybe a nitrious kit might be for you, you should be able to pick up a kit for what you have in your budget so that is another option. if you do run nitrious you'll have to get some colder spark plugs and your going to have to run premium gas when you run the gas. Zex makes an almost idot proof nitrious kit, I'd recommend their new wet kit. If I had to do it all over again the very first think I'd do to my car would be suspension, but that's just me. good luck in your decision.

im still pushing the G23 engine hybrid to everyone that asks about cheap hp. Parts alone would be about $500, then laybor would be another 3-400 chucks and you would gain as much hp/tq as a turbo.

New guys dont get too much help with attitudes like that.

Also you said you are on a budget, but also have posts about getting a turbo, and doing a 5 speed swap. Thats a pretty big modding budget.

It really doesnt seem like you have a clear picture of how you want to modify your ride at this point. All your posts seem very random, and dont come together as a whole. I would do some more searching using the search feature, and build a clear picture of what you want to do first.

Once you do that, hit us up for more info, and you'll get the kind of answers & info you need. Getting into detailed info know seems a bit premature.
