Default Clutch or Oil?

I have recently noticed a hot smell while driving my 92 accord. It does not happen until the car has been running for a while. My gauges are fine and so is the oil level. Two things I think it might be. I have a small oil leak on the intake manifold side of the block. A location has not yet been determined. I think that the smell might be coming from the oil leaking onto hot parts of the car (ehaust pipe) and that is causing the smell? The other theory I have is that might clutch is going out. In first gear, obviously I have a manual, the car shimmies when starting out. I wondered if the smell was coming from a burning clutch?

If your enegine is fine,.. it's the oil leaking on the hot parts of the car.

Burning clutch fluid and burning oil are two completely different distinct smells. Some clutches smell when they are going and some don't, so if it smells like clutch fluid, it may be something to look at. Oil dripping on the exhaust could mean a bad oil pan gasket and should be replaced.

I hope you guys are aware that if oil leaked onto the exhaust pipe, it would cause a fire, just like like the new CRVs because the technicians didn't tighten the oil pan screw after an oil change.

Go get it checked out at a shop.
