Default accord v6 '04

I hade had the accord coupe v6 for over 5 months now, approximalty 7000 miles. Every time i take the car hgiher than 4800 rpms, there is always a big nasty smell of rotten eggs that emits from the engine, once i have come to a stop. I thought htat would stop after about 1000 miles, but it still continures. anyone else have this problem too?

if so what can i do to fix it/

thanx all

Default smell

I really know what causes this or how to fix it, but our 02 GMC Envoy with 24,000 miles on it, does the same thing and emits a nasty rotten egg smell every so often.

Your catalytic converter sounds like it's bad. My car has 160k and just recently started doing this, but only occaisonally. Take it to the dealer and bitch.

This has been a problem on the 7 gens. I was in the same boat as yours with my 03. The smell eventually went away, or let me say it has lessened quite a bit. I don't smell it unless I push the car really hard all of a sudden. I used to smell it during normal driving, but not any more. BTW, I have 10k + miles. happy driving! Just consider it the new car smell.
