brake pads

Sometimes the piston gets sticky & won't let itself get pushed back into the bore when you release the brakes. It's not supposed to go 'all the way' back into the bore, but it's supposed to release it's pressure so the brakes don't drag.
Sometimes it's the caliper slide pins that get rusty & don't slide. Sometimes it's the pads themselves wedged tightly into the caliper bracket.

Yeah, but what I said is good for front or rear disk brakes. Make sure the caliper slide pins are OK, & everything works like it should. If one brake drags just a little it can wear down it's pads faster, even though it's not bad enough to pull to one side.

I was recently having this probelm myself. My whole left side calipers pins where not working prooperly so I had those replaced and she stops on a dime. I will do the same to the right ones just to make sure. Sometimes one side will wear a little faster then the other.
