Bone, thanks for the suggestion. I went to the site and found a universal rubber cargo mat that looks like it might do the job. Thanks again!

why not cut out some thin plywood or something similar to the shape of the trunk mat???

there is PLEXIGLASS, LEXAN, PLASTIC, there are 10005442134 different things you can use, just use your imagination...
