They'll perform any "check" for free and usually get fairly pissy if you say "thanks a lot" and get in your car afterwards, but who cares.

On the 6th gens though you can pull your own codes using a paperclip and a couple of Helms manuals, so I haven't been down there in awhile.

It involves loosening and retightening some of the plugs on the ABS unit. I don't recommend you try and do this yourself, because it's a bitch. I've done a few at work...NOT easy.

If it is leaking do you know where it would be leaking from?? is it just the resevoir? if so would it not be easier to just replace that resevoir?? its just a small plastic thing it can't be that expensive. or can it.....?

There is a bulletin on this leaking problem. It's not the reservoir. There are certain "plugs" on the body of the ABS unit that need to be loosened and retightened. There is roughly 10 of these plugs on the unit, and the bulletin tells you exactly which 6 need to be retorqued. The brake fluid will leak out of those exact 6 plugs.
