Default turbo b18b in accord?

i have a f22b2 right now and i think that instead of going with a h22a that i might go with a b18b and turbocharge it....ive never heard of someone putting a b18b in an accord is there some reason or should i just stick with swapping the h22? seems like the b18b can make some nice numbers with a turbocharger...and if i swap the h22 i wont turbo it for a while......

thanks

You might have nice numbers but in a heavy car like the accord you'll still be slow. The lack of torque in the b serie engine would hurt performance in an accord. Seems like u really wanna go turbo. Why don't u just boost your f22b2 it has a lot of potential with force induction.

that 1.8L engine doesnt have enough torque to get the accord moving.
Even though its turbo'd it will have to spool pretty high up there to get that beast moving.

the money you'll spend on the b18b T , you can just turbo ur f22.

Plus the F22 has alot more torque than the b18, and in a heavy car torque is good.

What motor mounts are you planning on using?

What axles are you planning on using?

What wiring harness are you planning on using?

just turbo the f22 or just swap h22.. thats pretty much all you can really do to get power out of a accord

b = civics, integs
h = accords, preludes

thats why we don't talk about b series engines

because h22 EK's don't exist

i'd go with f22b1 turbo
or get the vtec head on there if you have a b2

i think that the b2 has a higher compression ratio than the b1
i think the b1 has like 7.5 and the b2 has 8.5 or 9.1
so putting the vtec head on a bottom end with higer compression than the regular b1 has, with a turbo, could be an interesting setup
the compression isn't too high to where you can't run boost

wth are you talking about. research before you give advice. both f22b1 and f22b1 are 8.8:1 CR and both have the same bore and stroke. IMO the b2 would be better to boost, dont have to mess with vtec engagements. with boost low compression is good.

My apologies I forgot to think about it the other way around. But B series in an Accord is a no-no except 3rd and 2nd gens i think?
