Default Help a nube with A/C please?

I have a 97 accord with a possessed A/C. It has worked fine all summer. Yesterday morning, we used the heater. Then yesterday afternoon, tried to use the A/C and hot air came out (hotter than ambient) I checked all the controls, and switched back and forth from A/C to heat several times. When the A/C is turned on, the air feel somewhat like both hot and cold are are trying to come out, if that makes sense. The compressor seems to be working, and there are no strange noises. Any ideas would be most appreciated.

this happens to my accord as well. you just have to be patient with it. if you don't like being patient ride with the windows down. I do that a lot. after a day of no system running, it should be fine.

Maybe the cable that controls either the vent damper or the heater valve has come unhooked? So when you turn the knob to 'cold' the mechanism is still on 'hot'...

Thanks for the replies guys....Are you refering to the cable on the passenger side near the center console? If so, I checked that and it seems to be operating as in should, no play, no kinks, still hooked up, and the damper seems to change position. I'll double check though. In the mean time I will also let the system 'sleep' for a while and see if it wakes up on the right side of the bed.

I've never had a 5th-gen Accord, so ???

My Integra has a cable from the control knob to operate the damper. Then there's another cable going out to the actual valve on a heater hose just outside of the firewall. I'm just guessing about stuff for you to look at.
